Our pre-natal yoga classes are designed for women from 12 weeks to 40 weeks to relax and strengthen during their pregnancy. The prenatal yoga classes are also a terrific opportunity to connect and discuss pregnancy related topics with other women.
It is not necessary to have previous yoga experience to attend our prenatal yoga classes and for many women it may be the first time they have practiced yoga. We teach simple beginner’s postures with differing levels of complexity for more experienced yoga students. During the pre-natal yoga class you will practice classical hatha yoga postures and connect to the Shen of your growing baby.
Beginners Yoga (6 week course)
Our Beginners Yoga 6 Week Course is the ideal introduction to Hatha yoga, and our teachers take each class step by step to ensure you are confident in the most common yoga poses with adjustments to suit your body. The 6 week course is perfect for students who are first time yogis, or those wanting to expand their knowledge and confidence and refine their poses. The course focuses on the history and philosophy of yoga, breathing, meditation and alignment .We keep our beginners classes at 10 students to ensure every student receives individual attention. If you miss a week you can always make it up in the next beginner’s course.
The 6 weeks Beginners Yoga Course includes:
Week 1: Introduction to yoga, pranayama (breathing) and sun salutations
Week 2: Standing poses, core and twists.
Week 3: Meditation, mindfulness and balance poses.
